Stop losing your temper can?

A person's temper can be really unpredictable. Everything can change within seconds. My mum hasn't shouted at me ON a weekend for a very long time. Weekends are the time for sleeping late and waking up late as well. She used to make a fuss out of this going to church thingy but now she doesn't bother anymore. But still, she will talk to me about church and our religion, hoping that I will start going to church again. Seriously, if my church masses weren't so boring, I might even consider going. But this time it's not about going to church that she made a fuss about. It's been probably a year ago since she shouted at me to wake up on the weekends. Today, she did it again. Just because of the stupid, old and breaking down desktop PC. I totally had no idea what she wanted when she started screaming "Can you come and help me not?" What is it you want me to help you with? How do you expect me to know if you didn't say it properly? So of course, I ignored her and continued to sleep. Besides, I was sick. All I heard were screams and complaints all coming out as forms of grumbles. Imagine the sound of a snorting pig. (It's just an example.) No idea how long the screams continued. Words became clearer and clearer to me before I replied her a weak "What?" "Are you going to help me not?!" seriously impatient tone already. I lied in bed, not making a sound, cos in fact, I'm suffering from a sore throat and a cold. I coughed a few times. My mum said "Later you cannot go eat I tell you." I actually made plans to JB later with my boy and his colleagues for dinner, but we 2 will go in first for some shopping. My mum always threatens me by abusing her power as a mother. Sometimes it's so damn frustrating. I got up immediately, but reluctantly. I saw what was going on. She couldn't get online just because she entered into safe mode. -_- I helped her solve the thingy already and she shouted, "What you do?!" So I explained to her how things worked and stuff blah blah blah. She said she even called up Singnet to get help. How adorable. But that's not the point! The point is does she even need to flare up over such a trivial matter? I was so fed up at her at that moment. She could only aim her cannon at me because for a fact, she knew that even if she screamed for my sister, my sister will never even be up because she only came back in the morning. Should I even be complaining about it because I'm the younger daughter? Or should I blame my sister for not spending sufficient time at home with my mother? It's not like we don't share the same mother ok? I'm attached but I still make plans for my mum. Last week we had lunch at Cafe Cartel together and I offered to pay, my mum refused. I felt really bad for letting her pay all the time. She IS the one who's been giving me allowance. Not my dad. (Not that my dad didn't contribute. It came to a time he told me to get allowance all from my mum instead from him.) I still know where my limits are. Like me and my boy's 1st year anniversary, it clashed with my mum's birthday. My mum had no plans for the afternoon so I asked her out for lunch together. Then I had to tell my sister about it before she came to join us. Otherwise my mum will be all alone on that day. Seriously, 10 years of age gap is rather big. I find it really hard to talk to my sister about certain things. We don't even have any heart-to-heart talks. She will only talk to me about studying hard and going to a U and getting a job etc. But no that-guy-is-really-cute kinda talks. I have no clue where this blog entry is going. It's like one thing relates to another. Now I am reminded of my cousin. She was more like a sister than the sister I have at home. We talked about everything under the sun. But all these stopped already. Just to conclude, everybody has their own tempers. But it's how you control that matters. Because if you lose control of it, it's bound to make somebody's life difficult. Alright. To JB later.

Getting birthday gifts

It's my sister's birthday today. She's 10 years older than me. Haha should I be laughing at her cos she's getting really old? Or should I cry cos I'm getting old as well? But anyway, on this day but 1 year ago, I still remember shopping for a birthday present for her with my boy. I wanted to buy her something nice yet personal and original. I bought a photo frame. Original right? Haha the photo frame had "Me and my big sister" written on it. So I put a photo of me and my sis when I was just born in it, wrapped it up and gave it to her. She was happy, I supposed. Cos she was laughing at me being so cute. =P To prove my cuteness, I purposely took a photo while my sis was out.

There you go. Cute me. 10 year old her and few month old me. So while I'm getting older day by day, I've run out of ideas for getting gifts. Like what can I get for my mum? I've gotten her handbags, perfumes and brought her out for countless dinners. No more things to get her. [I suddenly recalled a funny conversation between me and my boy with my mum as the subject. He was saying,

Actually your mum don't need presents at all. Just a 'Happy Birthday' and you being nice to her, she's more than happy.

Then I replied,

No leh. That time my mum said, "Your jie bring us go eat lunch, that's all meh? Nothing else arh?"

See? My mum isn't like any other mothers. Haha.] Ok so what can I get for my sister? People who know me and have seen her will most probably understand my situation. I can't possibly buy her a handbag or a fanciful dress. I could probably get her some gadgets but how could I afford it? And what does she need? This year, everything's a lil different than before. I didn't get any gifts for my mum and sis. I've run out of cash. I know, bad daughter and bad sister. I will pay them back once I start working. =) For now, I can only give them things I make myself or things that are cheap low cost. But next year ya? By the way, when I was back at school yesterday, all I saw were crowds and crowds everywhere. The year 1s all travelled around in classes. And maybe they were new to the surrounding, they all stayed around for a longer time. Thus, occupying the whole canteen. With not even any walking space available, poor Joey decided to skip lunch. Other than that, school was boring. For one of my IS classes, 5 of us (Joey, Weihan, Chai Fong, Syahriah and I) were in the same class. And the tutor split us up for class activities. What's worse was I was in the same group as some bimbo that I wished I could just shut her mouth! "That lovely lady in pink." I was pissed. What's with her sucking up and bloody bitchy bimbotic attitude? Just making a fool of yourself in class. Pity.

Back from Genting

I have so many things to blog about. Firstly, my room. Secondly, the Genting trip with my boy. Then most probably I'll whine about school. Alright. First thing first. My room. Last Saturday (15/4), I ordered the paint I wanted for my room. Then I could only collect it at around 4pm the next day. The great thing was it started pouring at my area and my boy and I were stuck at the shop. The rain was too heavy to walk home. So we took a cab. The cab fare was $2.40. Ha! I felt bad so I paid the uncle $3.00. How dumb! So we started painting my room only around 5pm. And we painted through the night, while taking long breaks in between. We completed everything by 3am. Slept at 4am. Painting was fun!

The first pic on the top right is the before. The rest are the afters. Nice? By the way, due to the lousy camera, the colour turned out dark blue. But it's in fact dark purple and light purple. Yup, my room is done. And I love it! Too bad I only spent one night in it before leaving for Genting. I kept reminding myself to eat more during the trip to put on some weight. I HAVE put on some weight, but maybe still not enough.

Hmmm... 36 to 37.4kg. Not too good? Secondly, the Genting trip. I feel so ashamed to even mention this but still, I shall say it. I haven't travelled out of Singapore since 12! Which is like 7 freaking long years! Nope, not even to Malaysia. Haha. I keep turning down travelling opportunities that my mum gave me throughout these years. For no reason. I could have fully utilised my passport you know? Anyway, my passport photo was taken when I was 12 and only been chopped once. To Chiangmai, Thailand, that is. The custom officer had to take a second look at it to confirm it was me. -_- I felt so sua ku! Anyway, the journey to Genting wasn't that enjoyable due to the lousy condition of the bus. We paid for a 24-seater bus but ended up getting a 28. We requested for the middle seats but ended at the back. The ride was super bumpy but still, we were able to catch some sleep. 7 agonising hours. Imagine. The moment we reached, we checked in to Hotel First World (budget la) and rushed for lunch. The food was great. Seriously cheap. (I think) We didn't do much on the first day, considering the fact we reached only around 3pm. Walked around and ate. We visited the 'Ripley's believe it or not' exhibit. I'm kinda lazy to type. Just enjoy the photos. Click to enlarge them.

Food we ate! Ripley's! I had always wanted to visit this.

We went to the Patio bar at night for some drinks and music. The band was really good. Enjoy. Just a short clip though.

They can sing songs in English, Chinese, Cantonese, Thai and Malay! Day 2, we went to the outdoor theme park.

I have no idea why I kept feeling like I'm in The Park. (that 3D movie)

And why do they call it Corkscrew?

A stupid video taken while I was behind the wheels. The vehicle in front was way too slow. My boy suggested we overtake him.

This is one fantabulous ride. I can't describe it. You just have to try it yourself. Watch the video.

He looks smart, doesn't he? And a lil too skinny. Anyway, you should really watch a movie when you're at Genting.

It's about $7.50 for a pax inclusive of a drink, popcorn and 1 packet of Kit Kat. You can only watch a movie on weekdays with $7.50 in Singapore. With NO drinks! Day 3 started to get boring. If you went for 3 days, it would be too short. If you chose 4 days, it would be too long. But it was fine for us. We just walked around abit and ate a lot on that day. 1 place we hung out everyday was the snooker centre. We went there everyday without fail. Cheap la! Cannot blame.

Day 4 was home sweet home in a luxurious double deck bus with massage chair and personal entertainment. There you go. My very fruitful Genting trip. Ha! Now I'm looking forward to Pulau Redang and Hong Kong. Oh ya, I said I'll whine about school. School will be starting in slightly more than 24 hours time. Suddenly the holiday seemed so short. I think I've been complaining for the 1375th time that school holidays are short. But the real sad thing is that TT02 has been split up to many different classes. =(

To Genting to Genting to put on some weight

I'm on a mission to Genting to put on some freaking weight. I weigh a scary amount of 36.4kg currently!! Kinda contradicting myself when I used to say I want to lose weight and stuff. Haha but when I see that number on the weighing scale, I'm utterly shocked and feeling a lil too unhealthy? I don't know. Heh. But I can feel something is not right with my body somehow or another. So my boy did tell me that there are some secret eating places in Genting that are a Must-try! I've packed my bag for tomorrow's trip. Shall be back in sg with at least 38kg. Anyway, I've got my room painted. More on that when I get back! Haha I just painted my room and only spent 1 night in it. Now I'm off to Genting. I'm gonna miss my room so much! Ok, pictures of my room coming up pretty soon. See ya my friends. Welcome to year 3!

I've got 3 things to celebrate today!

According to the bible and what my catholic school once taught me, Good Friday is the day Jesus died on the cross for us. 3 days later, it'll be Easter Sunday, where he rises again. I'm not too sure if I've got my facts right. That's what I know about Good Friday. Initially, I forgot what GF was about. I had to hear it from my boy! *shakes head profusely* I don't know why I'm being such a failure as a catholic. Anyway, my mum's birthday happens to fall on Good Friday this year. My sis and I had plans to bring her out for a nice dinner but my mum said she's gonna abstain from meat. The thing about catholics is that we are to stay away from meat on fridays. Yup, and this is GF so there is a good reason to be 'vegetarian' just for a day. Obviously my family don't follow this tradition except for my mum. So yup, my mum wants to stay meat-free and we can't possibly bring her out for dinner and order her a salad (though that was our first thought) and we have the good food to ourselves. Heh. The dinner has been postponed to next week, after I get back from Genting. But for now, I wanna wish her a very happy and healthy birthday!!

I rummaged through my old photos and collated a few of my mum's (and a bit of me) photos. I purposely put the ones that have me in them bigger. Haha I like can? Ok that's already 2 things out of the 3 I'm celebrating today. The last thing is that on this very day but 1 year ago, my boy and I got together!! Haha on my mum's birthday some more! What a brillant idea, baby! Hehe.
Happy Good Friday to all!
Happy Birthday to Mummy!!!
Happy 1 year to my boy!!!

Irresponsible or bo-chup?

This conversation just came to my thoughts in the midst of slacking. Mum (to my dad): There's something wrong with the TV, get someone to fix it. Dad: What for? I also don't watch it. Can someone tell me is this being irresponsible or simply bo-chup?

Random Updates

My room Still unpainted. I'm left with 1 week to start and finish on the painting before I go off for the holiday that my boy and I planned for so long. The thing is, the cabinet is still in my room, occupying a lot of space and definitely too heavy for me to move it out on my own. I managed to clear the entire cabinet of junk I've accumulated throughout the years. Haha I found some really old stuff in it. Thankfully not some lizard corpses. My boy He got his driving licence quite a long time ago and I was probably the last to know. He meant to give me a surprise. Heh. Then within a week or so, he got a car. His uncle got a new car, so gave him the old car. Where the hell do you find such a nice uncle? Yup, so anyway, he wanted to bring me to Geylang to try the hokkien mee over there but kept putting it off. So yes, baby, you have to bring me there one day! New hair I got something new this holiday. A new hair colour, that is. I can be considered a "I never" girl. I never had highlights. Haha but I have them now! And at a rather cheap price as well. Please don't mind the geeky glasses =( Had them done at my boy's aunt's salon, thus the discount. He got some highlights on his fringe too, from the leftovers of my highlighting solution. Hah! But he DIY-dyed his hair 1 day after and the highlights weren't as obvious. Yup, so that's us in his car after our salon session. His dad was driving us to the supermarket to get a duck for his grandma to cook her famous "Lor Ah". My boy's grandma's "Lor Ah" Had dinner at his grandma's place because he wanted to learn the making of "Ah Ma's Lor Ah". He claimed that 1 "lor neng" can eat with 1 bowl of rice! Just look at the colour of the eggs and duck! So indeed it was yummilicious, fabudelicious, very goodilicious! There were many other dishes but I was so focused on the duck that I didn't eat anything else except the duck and the eggs. Usually food like this will taste better after a few days but seriously, the standard of this was as good as those cooked for 3 days! Erm... so I guess that's about it. Nothing much to update. Being really busy the past weekend. School starting soon. Better enjoy the last 2 weeks.

The Hills Have Eyes

I caught The Hills Have Eyes 1 week back. It's kinda similar to Wrong Turn

based on the characters used. Mutants. However, Wrong Turn is more gruesome and bloody. The mutants were more cruel and armed. Want to watch it, can borrow vcd from me. Heh. The following pictures are from the scenes of THHE. So anyway, THHE is a remake of the 1977 version. No idea how the past version was but the 2006 version is s-i-c-k SICK! Because there was a rape scene. Human-to-human rape is scary enough. But it's mutant-to-human rape in this show!

Actually I cannot be 100% sure the mutant raped the poor girl. What we can see is that he pinned her down and undid his pants and opened her legs. Porn! Haha! But no bush, no dicks. Sorry to disappoint. I'm sure 99% of me told myself that WAS a rape. My boy and I were wondering how his dick will look like since he was a mutant. Mutant dick. Eeeeww...

And the mutants were able to speak in english, unlike those in Wrong Turn. They grumble and growl and make so much noise and you still cannot make out a single word they say.

Familiar faces I saw in this movie were Claire from Lost (the pregnant one) and Carter from A Cinderella Story. He looked kinda cute in this movie. I'm not going to tell the story la. I cannot tell stories. Either you watch it, or ask me to explain to you verbally. Alright? Anybody wanna watch Dorm?
